Balneum Sterzing - top notch design

Balneum Sterzing, a sports and relaxing pool for the whole family, can take up about 250 visitors in the winter and about 1,000 visitors in the summer. On the ground floor there is a large sports pool, a relaxation and teaching pool with massage chairs, a jet stream and whirlpool, an outdoor pool and a pool for babies and toddlers. In summer, Balneum also has a large outdoor pool, a children's pool and a large grass area for visitors to use. On the first floor there is an area of about 1,100 m2 for sauna, spa and beauty, which provide everything you need for the perfect spa visit.

Floor to ceiling glass walls and panoramic windows offer the visitor breathtaking views of historical castles and the mountainous landscape of the Sterzing Valley. Clear and light shapes, the symbiosis of design and nature create an atmosphere of wellbeing for the guests and make Balneum Sterzing a very special place.

The ticketing and control system had to be in line with these high standards. Top design, functionality and user-friendliness were at the fore when the system supplier was chosen. The contract was awarded to n-tree solutions for these very reasons.

For the very first time in access control, so called horizontal wing locks or "flap gates" were integrated into the n-tree system. The glass double doors in contrast to normal barriers give the visitors a feeling of freedom of movement. The glass panels are closed in the basic position. The visitor holds his or her ticket up to the reading device. The locking device then fully retracts into its housing and grants free passage to the visitor. Immediately after the visitor has passed though or after a preset time, the gate then closes.
