CASCADE Sand in Taufers - a new culture of bathing

The CASCADE project: a perfect blend of relaxation, indulgence and activity. Named after the nearby Cascade Reinbach Falls in Sand in Taufers (Southern Tyrol), CASCADE stands for a totally new kind of swimming concept, harmonizing a mixture of senses and elements. CASCADE was opened on 25 September 2011.

The local council put their faith in n-tree solutions to set-up their visitor management system. Numerous leisure centres in Southern Tyrol (Cron 4, Acquarena Brixen, Balneum Sterzing, Gardacqua, Aquaforum Latsch to mention just a few) have been working happily with the n-tree ACCESS System for many years. In the nationwide tender process n-tree, with its innovative approach, was able to assert itself successfully against the competitors.

The outdoor and indoor pools (lap pool, leisure pool, baby pool, panoramic pool as well as the saltwater and plunge pool in the sauna area) literally "float" like a cascade in the Ahrn Valley landscape. The seasons and weather have been thoughtfully integrated into the "CASCADE" culture of bathing. A lot of attention has been paid to the interplay between the indoor and outdoor experience. You can feel the nature as the seasons change in the spacious outdoor pool or in the idyllic natural swimming pond. Depending on the time of day, weather conditions or season, the visitor can be part of an ever-changing environment. The surrounding windows give the visitor the feeling of being closely connected to the countryside forever - every swimming day is a new revelation.
