Italy's no. 1 Aqua and Theme Park goes for the n-tree visitor management system
Parco Aqualandia near the city of Venice is Italy's no. 1 aqua and theme park and was recently voted the best water park in Europe. Covering an area of 80,000 square metres, it offers guests an oasis of pleasure, which is comparable to that of a Caribbean island. Alongside palm trees and a beautiful sandy beach, visitors can use the "Spacemaker", which is 42 metres high and the highest water slide in the world. For the more daring guests, there is also a bungee tower, which is 60 metres high and the tallest fixed tower in Europe. It's a place where relaxation, fun, extreme sports and water attractions for all ages come together in an exhilarating cocktail of entertainment. Built in 1989, Parco Aqualandia is much more than a traditional aqua park - you can find 7 areas dedicated to special themes, 26 attractions in and out of the water, 6 spectacular live shows and 5 animations to entertain guests. The park was reopened with n-tree's visitor management system in May 2012. The Italian distributor Nuraia won the tender for this unique project. 10 entry tills and 10 exit tills as well as 8 turnstiles and around 960 electronic lockers were linked up by n-tree in this huge project.
What's unusual about this outdoor amusement park is the consistent use of a cashless payment system with chip wristbands for approx. 5,000 guests on a daily basis. The aim of this investment is to increase the "per capita revenue" by about 15%. Alongside the "credit card effect" this should significantly speed up the payment process in the shops and restaurants, as well as through the automated rental of lockers and mini-safes by the sunshades. Bottlenecks in this project mainly occur when paying at the exit. All guests have to settle their bills at the exit till. In order to make sure that this is carried out efficiently, it requires a visitor management system that meets the highest demands in terms of performance and stability. The n-tree ACCESS System ensures a smooth and comfortable handling of the flow of visitors in a very short time!
