AlbThermen Bad Urach

The 35 years ago-established baths were modernised in a intensive renovation period from March to December 2007. The thermal baths also received a modern ticketing and access control system from n-tree so that the visitors can enjoy even more comfort. As the operator, the well-established company VitaParc GmbH got on board. This company already runs a wellness and fitness oasis in Stuttgart/SI-Centrum. Since 2002 the "Sauna- und Vitalbad SchwabenQuellen" and the "Fitness- und Wellnessclub STEP fit & well" of VitaParc GmbH operate using a n-tree visitor management system. This opens doors to a cross-linked solution between all installations of the VitaParC GmbH.

Today the thermal baths "AlbThermen Bad Urach" are now beyond recognition and have been given a completely new appearance. About six million Euros have been invested in the rebuilding of these baths. In six different pools the visitors can swim in pure mineral thermal water which have temperatures of between 32°C and 38°C. Several outdoor pools invite the visitors to stay outside enjoying the fresh air and the spectacular scenery around the spa. The novel lighting concept offers the visitor colourful surprises. They are the first baths worldwide that can produce 4,000 different colour effects.

Furthermore the visitors can enjoy the particular convenience of the new n-tree ticketing and access control system. At the entrance desk the visitor receives his personal chip wristband. This wristband is the "key" to the whole spa and sauna world. After the entry the visitor then chooses an empty locker with his HOBOBAND. Information terminals inform the visitor about his locker number, length of stay, account status etc. at all times.

Food and beverages, massages etc. are easily charged onto the HOBOBAND. At the end of his visit, the visitor pays at the exit cash desk for the services he has useed and hands his HOBOBAND to the return reader. After an automated check of the chip medium the exit turnstile is released and the visitor can leave the complex.
